Senior Instrument Engineer

Basic Functions

The position will require the successful candidate to undertake the following roles & responsibilities:-
- Ensure all Instrument & Controls engineering activities satisfy the appropriate asset safety case.
- Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for design engineering activities.
- Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work and ensure that all discipline design changes are captured by the change control process.
- Ensure all discipline engineering work is carried out in accordance with asset priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan.
- Contribute to the development of the plans, schedules and estimates for the individual workscopes.
- Take ownership of technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Engineering manager.
- Liaison with the instrument Design team to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet agreed schedules.
- Review of job progress and cost reports regarding discipline engineering activities.
- Be responsible for providing Design Verification documentation in accordance with the ICB requirements.
- Provide input to discipline planning and be responsible for discipline resourcing as deemed appropriate by the workload.
- Support other senior engineers within the discipline and contribute towards the development of younger engineers.
- Must be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards.
- Be responsible for delivering specific change and improvement initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities
Ensures that all process responsibilities are complied with for engineering projects in accordance with established procedures from inception and budget estimating through to completion.
