- System Administrator (SharePoint 2010)
-Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups to assist with disaster recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Advanced Systems Administrator capabilities with 9 or more years of experience*.
These consultants are recognized as top professionals in their chosen field. Considered "Guru" subject-matter experts in IT Professional Services. Individuals possess multiple years of operating system experience and are extremely competent in: complicated, specific, and unique software applications and system configuration; will typically hold advanced education degrees or certifications such as, but not limited to, a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)..These advanced degrees and certifications may substitute for 0-6 years of experience at this skill set level, and for this skill set level only. They have worked on multiple critical projects, have demonstrated the judgment to plan and accomplish goals; performs a variety of complicated tasks, and may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Project Description:
-SharePoint 2010 is collaboration software that has the ability to provide enterprise-scale content and document management. SharePoint is accessible through the web and offers and ability for its users to stay connected and productive by providing easy access to the documents, and important communication. The project team has completed phase one of this implementation and is currently planning for the execution of the second phase, which is detailed below.
Work teams (work streams) to support implementation of the Health System Transformation effort need an environment that allows work stream teams to collaborate, store and share documents, project schedules and information efficiently and effectively within and across the teams.
-SharePoint 2010 has been chosen as the platform to meet the immediate need for the HST effort. The SharePoint 2010 toolset will provide fundamental solutions for collaboration and communication on the work stream teams along with project management tools to ensure critical tasks and deliverables are completed to meet HST implementation timelines. This solution also allows DHS|OHA to implement SharePoint as an enterprise service.
As of April 30, 2012, the SharePoint project team has completed and deployed SharePoint2010 to the 15 Health Systems Transformation work streams. The 15 work streams are using SharePoint 2010 as we have implemented the standard (basic) SharePoint functionality. At the same time, we have been working to set up the MS Project server for these 15 work streams and continue with this configuration effort and plan to have this service available by end of May.

Scope for Phase 2(complete by July 1, 2012):
Continue to refine and stabilize the service offerings requested by the HST pilot group. Review, evaluate and identify best practice out of this effort to define a support model for implementing SharePoint as an enterprise service available for use by DHS|OHA.
Ensure SharePoint 2010 is ready and available to the enterprise as a service to any user group that needs or requires a collaboration tool.
Complete the configuration of MS Project 2010 and install the infrastructure for the 15 HST work streams and be ready for enterprise use at DHS and OHA.
Implement SharePoint 2010 production installation and infrastructure to be ready for enterprise use at DHS and OHA.
Support model, change request process & resources in place and ready for enterprise support.
Transition all support of SharePoint 2010 application to OIS Shared Services Technology, Planning, and Standards (TPS).
Provide an Intranet website that offers training options available to users, information on the product and our services.
Conduct GAP readiness assessment determining on project deliverables associated with deployment of an enterprise ready system.
Clearly defined performance measures and metrics for measuring service offering success.
Begin planning for Phase 3.

Experience Required:
Experience must include configuring and administering SharePoint 2010 Enterprise
Experience must include configuring and administering SQL Server 2008
Experience must include configuring and administering Windows Server 2008 and Active Directory
Experience must include configuring and administering Microsoft Enterprise Project Server 2010
Experience must include creating formal system documentation
Prefer applicant has Microsoft SharePoint 2010 certification
Applicant should have experience with SharePoint 2010 development, customization, and branding
Experience should have previously deployed a SharePoint based social-based Intranet
Experience should include administering and configuring a Microsoft Threat Management Gateway
Tasks expected to be completed:
Work with in-house System Architect to document the current SharePoint farm
Work with in-house System Architect to update current farm infrastructure to match recommendations from Microsoft Premier Services
Work with in-house System Architect to document, implement, and test a farm backup & recovery strategy
Guide and implement an enterprise governance strategy
Work with the in-house System Architect to set up and automate administrative jobs and monitoring jobs
Work with the in-house System Architect to provision and deploy Project Server to the enterprise
Work with the in-house System Architect to provision and configure SharePoint Search.
