Description
Our client is a super high-visibility computer hardware manufacturer seeking a Senior .NET Application Developer/Software Engineer with extensive experience developing complex UI applications in WPF and/or Silverlight. Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent and minimum of 6 years of development experience using the above technologies. Extensive experience with graphical user interface (GUI) development and User Experience (UX) design. Demonstrated extensive experience in Microsoft .NET application design and development. Demonstrated extensive experience with Visual Studio (2005, 2008, 2010) and C# programming and using debugging tools. Demonstrated experience with SQL and DB application interfaces (ADO.NET, ODBC)
For this contract position, you will be contributing to a central, automated tool for DPM (Defects per Million) reporting and analysis.
The tool will perform the following main functions:
- Configuration: DPM methodology flows, Product Sampling Groups, DPM buckets
- Calculation: final bin, DPM bucket, various DPMs
- Reporting: configuring and generating DPM reports
OVERVIEW:
- Application design, coding and development
- Writing PRD (product requirements and specifications), test plans/test cases
- Execution of functional, integration and volume test cases and recording results
- Assist technical lead in architecture definition and technology selections
- Participation in customers meetings during requirements and design phases
- Providing accurate estimates of work to PM/Tech Lead
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with graphical user interface (GUI) development and User Experience (UX) design in WPF, C# and Expression Blend
- Visual Studio 2008, 2010
- WCF, Oracle SQL and ADO.NET
- Design and development experience with end-to-end reporting framework (Sharpshooter, telerik or SSRS) preferred
- Background in Assembly/Test and Manufacturing data systems a BIG plus.
Estimated length of assignment: Contract will be in 3 month increments up to 52 weeks
