Title: iOS Developers x2Reference: JS/TR004294Our client is a global retail technology company who develop innovative retail and transaction solutions, including a growing portfolio of leading mobile phone and web apps. Their customers, who are amongst the most forward-thinking global brands, are working with our client to develop the next generation apps, to be used by both consumers and retailer's to engage more effectively, improve the customer experience, thus increasing loyalty.This company turns over c.£80m and is growing, both organically and through acquisition, hence their need to hire two additional, talented iOS developers to join their vibrant development team in the UK. You will be working on a variety of ground-breaking apps, within an existing team of highly skilled developers.Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:- Degree in Computer Science or related- 3+ yrs of software development experience- 2+ yrs of iPhone development experience (iOS 4+)- SQL Lite and Core Data experience- Experience with XML and JSON structures- Experience in structured methodologies for development design, implementation and maintenance of applicationsKnowledge / Abilities:- Strong knowledge of objective C- Application tuning and memory management- Ability to implement UI designs and fine tune- Unit Testing experience and Simulator testing- Design, implementation and maintenance of applications- Understanding of server side technologies, scaling and performance- Be able to work under pressure, as there will the requirement to handle multiple projects at any one time- Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Microsoft Project- Good analytical, problem solving and numerical skills are essential- Candidates must be disciplined and well organised with can do "win, win" attitude- Pragmatic, hands on individual- The ability to embrace issues / problems encountered and communicates to the relevant internal teams / customer working towards a satisfactory resolution- Preference will be shown to those with published applications in iTunes- Preference will be shown to those with knowledge of Cocoa, C# or JavaResponsibilities:- Analysing user requirements and functional specifications- Researching, designing and writing new software programs- Writing, implementing and executing automated test scripts based upon new and existing programs and diagnose faults and find resolutions to such issues- Evaluate the software platform where required alongside current and new hardware ensuring that the companies development approach remains sound- Developing existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification- Integrating existing software products within the groups portfolio- Investigating new technologies where required- Creating technical and functional specifications including development notes and front end user notes as and when requested- Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects- Working closely with other staff, such as project managers, graphic artists, designers, developers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals- Ability to implement UI designs and fine tune as and when required- Utilise all in house tools as defined by the Product Development Manager- Adhere to all internal practices and processes as defined by the Product Development Manager and Head of UK DevelopmentIf you are passionate for technology, thrive on building elegant solutions and iOS applications, are self-driven and a team player, then please do get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
