Our client seeks a Storage Architect with strong NetApp skills, good HDS storage technology experience and Netbackup to manage the architecture and growth of infrastructure in shared and dedicated customer environments. You will provide technical guidance on behalf of sub-practice to make sure implementations are in line with best practice and policy.
The Storage Architect will ensure solutions are technically sound and growth is sustainable for the Nuclear de-commissioning project and the build of new computer system.
The role includes: Develop systems architectures containing logical models of the components and interfaces involved; Produce detailed component specifications from systems architectures; Develop product short-lists and evaluation criteria and uses them in product selection; Translates component specifications into detailed designs; Produce documentation for systems architectures.
You will have good knowledge of current practice and awareness of current developments within own area(s) of expertise, demonstrate awareness of areas outside own specialism; lead architecture developments for small systems and understand the domain technical strategy and ensures that solutions are compliant and sustainable.
To be considered you must have strong NetApp skills, good HDS storage technology experience and Netbackup, knowledge of the customers technical infrastructure and applications framework, good all round knowledge of the IT infrastructure environment and ability to create strong technical documentation and designs.
You will be working on a security cleared site so current SC clearance will be a advantage.
