The Solution Consultant is responsible for the successful delivery of new technology solutions. The individual in this position will work closely with business partners and information technology professionals by: 

Developing strategic technology solutions to support the NFS Application Strategy. 
Understanding current systems, their functional capabilities and infrastructure designs 
Understanding and/or documenting current processes and developing new processes 
Providing integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals 
Leading the review and design concepts for new systems 
Advises clients on the consequences of actions. Communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client. Provides on-going communication. 
The Solution Consultant will be required to know or learn program and process methodology and execute it within the established and organizational framework. 

Required Experience & Skills 

The ideal candidate will have: 
BA/BS in CS or related field. 
7+ years of information technology experience is also required with demonstrated success in strategy development, system analysis, architecture and design of software in a large-scale environment and includes a broad understanding of both IT infrastructure and application projects through professional services consulting and/or project/program management. 
The candidate must have experience working in a Matrix team environment for a large organization with a minimum 5+ years of experience in solutions design and development of integration architecture utilizing system development life cycle methodologies. 
Proven expertise in developing technology strategies and execution of those strategies 
Proven expertise in scoping, requirements gathering and solution design 
Excellent customer relationship management and customer service skills 
Ability to understand a customer's business and how IT contributes to the delivery of their product or service 
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills 
Strong collaboration, documentation and presentation skills 
Good oral and written communication skills 
Experience performing business analysis, software design, and project management 

Preferred Experience & Skills 

While healthcare or capital construction or consulting experience is preferred, it is not mandatory for a candidate with an exceptionally strong background in the other skill areas. Strong candidates would have a minimum 5+ years preferred experience in the following: 
Minimum 2 years of Business process management experience; Six Sigma experience a plus. 
Consulting experience with an emphasis on developing business strategies 
Experience in architecting system solutions 

Responsibilities: 
Develop and sustain customer service/IT consulting relationships with NFS Business Lines, IT Project Managers,  business partners and transition teams and with local IT service area management. 
Develop enterprise technology strategies in partnership with the business and IT 
Standardize and monitor multiple projects using project management methodologies. 
Ensure strategies are well defined and agreed upon by all stakeholders. Responsible for execution of strategies and maintaining and updating strategies. 
Use negotiation and influencing skills to achieve successful project outcomes 
Create process documentation where necessary to achieve a desired outcome or facilitate a strategy 
Consistently support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of

Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures
