Description

Financial Analyst/Migration analyst

We currently have an urgent requirement for a contractor to support all divisional migration events and assurance activities, within the financial controls and reconciliations workstream.

The successful analyst will be required to analyse various sets of data from source systems and the General Ledger to develop transactional level MI, which will be used to monitor the movements of the balances, financial controls and reconciliations during the transition states between, and post, ALL migration events.

This will provide assurance that the financial integrity of non-personal accounts (NPA's) is established and maintained during the various migration activities and for the ongoing functionality. Therefore a good finance/accountancy background is very helpful

The role will entail receiving and validating various datasets from numerous sources to allow:
- Full Analysis of the data, determining accounts which are in scope and require treatments, providing reports which will be used by the OBR project team, support/subject matter experts and provide MI to key project stakeholders.
- Accessible MI via automated dashboards which will interpret complex transactional data using tabular and graphical formatting, with appropriate commentary thus increasing usability.
- Dashboards and trackers which will provide key information to support the monitoring/management of all account balances.
- Exception reports will also be developed listing variables falling outside of the relevant Control Policy tolerance levels, eg threshold values, turnaround times, etc.

Skills/experience

  • Analyse the data around static balances ensuring it accurately represents the companies position
  • Work alongside the existing MI development team and subject matter experts in the delivery of MI associated with Static Balances and other divisional migrations
  • Support definition of user materials to support MI dashboard delivery
  • Good financial/audit/assurance background with investigative analysis and documentation skills and experience
  • Ability to work as part of a results orientated team
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with business, management and project team
