Description
Our client is a hugely popular computer parts manufacturer looking for a Windows Developer proficient in C# to help develop and maintain multiple MSI installers and develop tests for a software stack. C++ knowledge would be a big plus.
OVERVIEW:
- Implement software bug fixes and new features to meet customer specifications.
- Interface with customers when needed to determine the exact features of functionality requested.
- Write and/or update extensive documentation and help files pertaining to all developed software features.
- Simultaneously work on multiple different projects with balancing shifting deadlines and priority levels.
- Frequently communicate the progress and dependencies of current projects with teammates and managers as needed.
- Update the defect database, and provide impact analyses for requested functionality changes.
- Suggest process improvements that will improve team efficiency and release quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- C#
- STL
- OOD/OOP
- Experience with source control such as ClearCase
- Visual Studio experience
- Windows system knowledge
- MSI installer experience
- Must be able to work independently, and show initiative in driving open issues and defects to closure
- Ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks, to deliver quality products under tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor and outstanding work ethic in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment
- Must display excellent verbal and written communications skills, as interaction with external teams will frequently be required
- C++ preferred or will be picked up on assignment
