Description
My Client is a large Government Department currently seeking a new Director for Finance and Shared Services. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of excellent technical capability in Finance, Risk and Procurement at senior levels along with thorough understanding of and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirememts pertaining to International Financial Reporting Standards, taxation, annual reports and accounts.
Main responsabilities:-
- Financial reporting, planning and related ongoing advice to the Cheif Executive and senior management
- Formulating financial targets and budgets inaccordance with the strategy determined by the board
- Overall control of the departments accounting function
- Overall control of all financial processes and transactions
- Preparing annual accounts
- Ensuring regulatory requirements are met
- Delivery of required Shared services to operational service levels procured director delivered through other organisations
Skills Required
- Excellent technical capability in Finance, Risk and Procurement at senior management level
- Strong commercial skills
- Experience of leading strategic development
- Proven background in achieving significant business improvement across all the functional areas for which they are responsible.
Qualifications Required
- CCAB qualified
