Our client, a world leading pharmaceutical company, discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of innovative, value-added pharmaceutical products for both humans and animals around the world. They are currently seeking a Customer Insight Manager for an 8 month contract at their site in Berkshire

JOB ROLE:
The Customer Insight Manager will provide insight to the sales and marketing teams, and to trade customers, to help shape the strategic direction and tactical needs of the category. He or she will analyse the impact of current and future business activities and to provide recommendations both internally and to the trade.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Development of a deep understanding of shoppers/retailers
Work with sales to investigate and lead the implementation of trade opportunities such as trade customer range reviews
Combine an understanding of the shopper and the competitive dynamics of the market/retail environment, to help shape the strategic direction and tactical needs of the brand
Strategy and tactical input into all the aspects of category management
Consolidate all category management plans so that it is clear what activity is taking place by brand, summarising what is planned
Monitor the implementation of the activity against agreed plans
Plan and co-ordinate the roll-out of account specific planogram activity
Monitor and evaluate new retailer concepts and drive the implementation of resulting opportunities for WCH
Management of the day-to-day contact with IRI
Work with Business Account Managers to identify opportunities to improve brand performance by account
Benchmark global category management developments within relevant categories
Development of new ideas that add value for the shopper/retailer to ensure the long-term profitability of the brand

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in category management, sales, retail or trade marketing
UK OTC experience (preferable)

PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Project leadership skills
Excellent communications skills
