My client, one of Australia's leading organizations, is looking for an experienced Storage Engineer with HDS experience on a 6 month fixed term contract with a strong possibility of an extension and possible permanent employment.
The role is purely project orientated, set up and maintanence work.
The ideal candidate will have HDS Enterprise and Modular arrays experience. TSM and Netbackup experience is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate development, maintenance and upgrade projects relating to the IT Storage infrastructure, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), fibre Switches and enterprise backup.
- Provide consultation to clients on storage related issues relating to business applications.
- Manage project plans and deliver work to agreed priorities
- Manage own work load to achieve results to agreed standards and within agreed time frames
Essential skills:
- HDS Enterprise and Modular arrays -ESSENTIAL
- HDS NAS devices
- NetApp NAS devices
- Brocade fibre Switches
- Symantec Netbackup/Backup Exec
- Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
- StorageTek and IBM Tape Libraries
