This large and highly prestigious Federal Government Department is looking for a Senior Analyst Programmer to take part in a critical project that will include systems analysis, design and specialist programming activities. You will be involved in the development of the Department's COTS products and may also be required to provide technical support.
This is a pivotal role in the department and your core responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Team participation for engaging the provision of IT Specialist services
- Be involved in highly technical programming and design
- Deliver specification and maintenance of quality procedures and standards
This is a unique opportunity to take on a specialist Cobol/JAVA/Mainframe environment.
To be considered for this great opportunity you must demonstrate the following:
- Have demonstrated knowledge and experience in either/all Cobol, Mainframe and DB2 development
- Proven ability in JAVA/J2EE development
- Have knowledge of QSP Financials (E5 Financials) is highly desirable, but not essential
- Demonstrate an ability to work under minimal supervision and work under pressure in a team environment
- High attention to detail and outstanding analytical skills is essential
- Good communication skills and a strong team player
