System Integration Engineer

Our premium, name-brand recognized manufacturing Client has an IMMEDIATE need for a highly motivated electrical/software engineer for the position of System Integration Engineer located in their Bloomfield Hills, MI office. In this role, you will be part of the team that launches new automotive audio systems working closely with the most prestigious automobile manufacturers.

This is a 12+ month contract role with long term potential.

The System Integration Engineer is responsible for understanding and interpreting system requirements for highly integrated and complex audio systems, and testing these systems for verification to the highest standards of performance.

Key responsibilities include:
Comprehensive integration with the vehicle's electrical and powertrain systems (electrical and software communication).

Participation in the Design and Development processes.
System development team member responsibilities including specification generation, design reviews, subsystem validation planning and testing, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and verification, and lessons learned.
Perform product and system functional verification testing on customer system benches and development vehicles.

Perform characterization of powertrain noise and order tracking.
Drive resolution of electrical and software interface issues between infotainment components.

Preferred skills include:
Working knowledge of automotive electronics and network architectures (CAN or GMLAN desired)

Experience working with Powertrain NVH is highly desirable.
Experience with Network Communication tools such as CANalyzer, Neo-VII, and Optolyzer.
Experience with CAPL Scripting and/or Python Scripting.
Experience with working with/on Embedded software automotive control modules.
Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment.
Working knowledge of Electronic component design/validation experience.

Working knowledge of automotive electronics and network architectures.

Electronic component validation experience is desirable.

Requirements:
BSEE degree or equivalent
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong initiative and self-motivation to work in a dynamic environment
Availability to travel locally to customer sites
Availability to travel within the US to Client and Customer facilities

Some overseas travel may be required.
