Description
Our client is a high profile central government organisation, currently looking to recruit a strong Director of Finance and Shared Services on an interim basis, based in London.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Leading, motivating and developing the Finance team and Shared Services to support the operations of the organisation
* Delivery of the highest standards of financial analysis, reporting, control and management whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and Government requirements;
* Anticipating the financial implications associated with the operational performance of the organisation ensuring that business risks are identified, documented, controlled and mitigated;
* Working with Directors to deliver efficiencies and associated financial savings
* Effective leadership and management of Finance and Shared Services teams (approx 50) based both in London and Manchester.
The successful candidate will have:
* CCAB qualification, with significant post qualification experience
* Excellent technical capability in Finance, Risk and Procurement at a senior management level
* Strong commissioning and/or commercial skills
* Strong drive, determination and personal resilience with a rigorous focus on delivering strategic objectives to time and quality
* The personal impact and gravitas to command respect from a wide range of stakeholders;
* Flexible and adaptable in style and in influencing approach
* Experience of leading strategic development, implementing significant transformational not simply iterative change
* Ability to drive change at a fast (but considered) pace, bringing vision to practical reality in an ambitious time frame
* Proven background in achieving significant business improvement across all the functional areas for which they are responsible.
