OVERVIEW:
As a Senior Sustaining Software Engineer, you will ensure timely resolution of production issues with our client's software products and internal applications. You will use technical knowhow, an eye for quality and keen investigation skills to support partners and internal business users in resolving data and software issues. You must be able to respond quickly and effectively to and across projects and issues. You must balance potential risks, expectations and partner needs to determine the optimal solution for a given issue.
You may be called upon to fulfil functions related to software development that are not specifically software programming, such as requirements gathering, producing documentation, and quality assurance testing. Additionally, you may be called upon to provide leadership and mentoring to other team members.
REQUIREMENTS:- Five to eight years of technical or equivalent experience in a software development environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with one or more programming languages
- Experience in code-level tasks of product oriented applications
- J2EE mid-tier System Architecture
- UI such as JSF, RichFaces, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Use of any industry standard IOC Container with a thorough, pattern based, understanding of the IOC paradigm (eg Spring, SEAM)
- Experience with Maven, Nexus, Ant, Continuous Integration, etc.
- Hands-on experience with system integration technologies such as Web Services, Enterpriser Service Bus, Message Queue, etc.
- Hands-on experience with SQL with ability to apply experience to PostgreSQL
