Description
Due to ongoing expansion my client, a large financial organisation based in Paris has a requirement for an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to be part of a team responsible for validation of technical design, test and launch scenarios in the context of IT initiatives across a range of projects.
The successful candidate will also take ownership of research and building strategy, define and document improvement, validate this implementation, collaborate with the Technical Domain Owner for the Windows domain in providing guidance and support within the assigned area of product ownership.
There will also be a requirement for providing 3rd line support including on-call watch-duty outside of normal business hours.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the following:
- Vmware Virtualisation technology expertise (including Vsphere 4 & Vsphere 5), Vmware certification is an asset
- Experience in supporting/troubleshooting Vmware hypervisors including console/debugging knowledge - Experience in implementing virtualization in large environment (500+ virtual machines)
- Experience with Vmware key technologies such as DRS, Vmotion, HA, Clustering, Shared datastores
- Windows Server operating systems knowledge (including Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 R2)
- Windows MSCS and failover clustering.
- Directory Services MS Active Directory (Security structure, GPOs, ADAM..)
- IP Networking: DNS, WINS, DHCP

- Applicants must have excellent English and French and be able to travel to offices in Belgium when required.
