Stability Test Engineer, Black Box Testing, TV, Belgium, English speaker

For one of our clients in the Electronics Industry we are looking for a Stability Test Engineer.

You will be working for our client who is working on the latest technology within Digital Televisions. As a Stability Test Engineer you are responsible for testing the TV software to its full extent to assure the system behaves accordingly even when under stressed conditions.

Main responsibilities include:

• Understanding and analysing requirements with respect to how their robustness can be tested
• Interact with SW architects and test cluster leaders to define test strategies and conduct risk assessments
• Assure complete coverage of the specification requirements by creating test strategies, methodologies and test scenarios
• Procuring and/or creating test material and equipment to ensure that correct infrastructure is in place for executing the tests
• Daily set up of automated tests
• Able to interpret the results of the testing and identify errors/defects encountered by analysing logs, visual inspection, pictures,
• Evaluation of the encountered error, take appropriate action (eg set-up additional tests), re-execute tests with test software,
• PR handling: enter/follow-up/conclusion of Problem Reports
• Give input and feedback to the execution architecture team
• Represent the voice of the customer at all times

The ideal candidate should have good experience working in a team as well as individually. Strong communication skills are also essential as you will be representing the voice of the customer at all times.

Other qualities/skills should include:

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Software or Electronic Engineering
• Experience with Validation and Test methodology (Dynamic, Black Box testing, Steady state)
• Technical TV knowledge is an advantage
• English is the working language
