Skills: Solid Category and Procurement experience, Marketing commodity sourcing.
Role:
As a primary commodity knowledge resource of the client, the (Senior) Category Lead - Marketing will apply commodity knowledge to support sourcing project execution and sourcing consulting services to enhance the value provided to customers and differentiate the service offering. Responsible for working with external and internal customers to identify and execute sourcing solutions to drive down forecasted spend for the customer, provide vendor performance and contract management and develop recommendations for managing procurement processes and spending. May also participate in formal sourcing supplier selection and negotiation.
Skills/Experience:
*Solid strategic sourcing/procurement experience, specifically Marketing commodity sourcing
*Deep strategic sourcing experience (At least at regional level) preferred in three or more of the following Marketing spend areas:
Media
- Creative Agencies
- Promotional Materials and Merchandise
- Market Research
- Marketing Print
- Digital/Online
- Public Relations
*Indirect/Services procurement background
*Client-side Brand Marketing or Marketing agency experience an advantage
*MBA preferred
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills
