IT Training Manager - Education - 12 month fixed term contract - London - £51 - 56k -
My client is looking for an IT Training Manager to operate as the Service Owner, Central Provider and Co-ordinator for IT training provision across all the department and to develop the IT training strategy for client, to ensure that the customer and client derives the maximum benefit from the technology deployed. You will also be responsible for technical training programmes for staff (shaping the offering, overseeing the delivery, managing suppliers, etc). You will also manage a training team of 3 staff directly and a much larger virtual team of trainers and external suppliers.
Successful candidate will have extensive experience of running an IT training service in a large and complex organisation. You will have experience of the full training life cycle, and be able to demonstrate where you have played an active role in strategic service development and success in introducing change. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of sustained quality service delivery. You will have had experience migrating IT training services to external suppliers and extensive experience using and managing both online and external providers, especially for commodity or packaged IT training.
A qualification from a relevant training organisation, such as Learning & Performance Institute (LPI) is desirable.
There will be particular emphasis on reducing the in-house provision of commodity IT Training and outsourcing commoditiy training to efficient and high quality external and online providers. You will be working on development and introduction of new strategy, services and processes, as well as maintaining existing services.
