Our client, a large Commonwealth Government Department is looking for several Senior Java Developers.

Job Description
Maintaining and developing Java based applications;
Providing technical leadership to Java developers;
Developing new and updating existing system design documentation and Unit tests;
Providing detailed development effort estimates for changes and new components;
Liaising with business analysts and testers to efficiently deliver high quality work; and
Performing Code Reviews and other Quality Assurance tasks.
Core Skills & Experience
Strong Java/J2EE/JEE Design & Development Skills;
Experience with Object Oriented concepts;
Knowledge of and experience with SOAP, XML, JMS, EJB 3 & Web Services;
Rational Application Developer;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Highly motivated and focused on delivering quality outcome; and
At least 4-5 years recent experience developing Java/J2EE/JEE applications.
Desirable Skills & Experience
WebSphere Portal Server;
WebSphere Portlet Factory;
IBM Lotus Forms;
WebSphere Integration Developer;
WebSphere Process Server;
Database design & development;
WebSphere Application Server; and
Experience working in a SOA environment.
