Our client is the world's leading computer components manufacturer seeking a qualified Software Engineer to conduct Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL) test execution against a variety of integrated hardware devices and correlating driver software on various PC platforms as well as identification, investigation, logging, and resolution verification of encountered product defects.

Daily Responsibilities: Test execution performed to exact standards as defined by WHQL, upkeep and maintenance of ~25 PCs, concise and accurate status updates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Software validation experience
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving
  • Ability to follow dictated processes and best known methods to deliver flawless execution
  • Effective multitasking over simultaneous problem areas and/or assignments
  • Teamwork skills and ability to work well with peers and seniors from various disciplines

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • WHQL execution experience
  • Coding, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • PC hardware experience
  • Windows Operating System and device driver installation experience
  • Networking Configuration experience
  • Technical experience in Computer Architecture, Operating System, and software development processes.
  • Understanding of automation and how to apply where possible
