Description

Want to work for one of the most dynamic, creative environments in the world? One of the UK's leading pay-TV providers is looking for a Digital/Online Strategy Manager to work within the Futures team.

The Futures team ensures that we face the market in a more holistic way, particularly when talking about innovative or "different" ways of utilising TV or Audio Visual and Online material with different measurement. The Futures team must intelligently articulate the opportunities available, sell and administer all non-spot revenues to all agencies. Many agencies are already trading in this way.

Job Description

The Futures Strategist is a key part of this integration due to the emerging nature of opportunities online. The focus of the role is to advise and develop our online offering whilst helping to integrate this with the rest of the portfolio. The role is largely internally focussed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • With a commercial focus, this role is constantly looking for new or improved ways of maximising revenue (predominantly on-line) both in the short and in the long term
  • To constantly review and evolve the Digital offering and create a business case for change or evolution with a view to maximising revenue.

Advertising product development:

  • Market analysis is an important and essential part of this role (in addition to own research this includes identifying and attending conferences, seminars, councils, keeping up-to-date with trade press etc.)
  • Competitor/product/supplier analysis should be completed (the strategist should be an expert of what is possible and where appropriate a point of contact with 3rd-party ad-serving agencies for new developments)
  • Site analysis should be completed as and when necessary
  • The strategist should consult with key stakeholders (eg Ops, sales, mobile, video, sites, creative solutions) to inform their analysis
  • The strategist should subsequently interpret the above data - what does this mean in light of parent brand positioning
  • Recommendations to be made which drive the online advertising forwards and liaise with key contacts to get company buy-in.

Candidate Specification

  • Excellent understanding of the advertising process
  • A deep understanding of online working practices and opportunities
  • Good understanding of the media planning and buying process
  • The ability to develop a clear and effective strategy and to be able to communicate it
  • The ability to write and deliver a great presentation
  • Good administration and organisational skills.
