We currently have a requirement for a Commercial Administrator to work in the area of Gloucestershire for a contract temporary role, applicants must hold a valid DV clearance.

Role Description

The Commercial Administrator will prepare, review and administer Purchase Orders for materiel's, and labour, predominantly under existing basic ordering agreements or utilising standard procurement terms and conditions. The Administrator will negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, and modifications to Purchase Orders as required. You will maintain and update the procurement database with all Purchase Order information. The candidate will maintain the official records of negotiation and accurate files of all correspondence and will assist in any audits, reviews and special projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Experience of procurement administration (ie subcontracts and procurement).
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage any overdue and outstanding purchase orders through effective expediting.
  • Would suit an enthusiastic dynamic individual with a good attention to detail. A good people person'; who is articulate and is a good team player' but confident to work on their own.
  • The ideal candidate would be someone who is not afraid to undertake new tasks, is open to change and demands to be kept busy. Must have a high work ethic with a can do attitude.
  • Flexibility to work multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in Purchase Order/subcontract drafting, request for quotation preparation, negotiation, claims, modifications, protests, amendments, and extensions.
  • Maintains frequent contact with equivalent level staff, both internal and external.
  • Must be confident in liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers via email, telephone and face to face meetings.
  • Experience of bid preparation, claims, modifications, protests, amendments, extensions, non-disclosure agreements, and intellectual property constraints.

Desired Skills

  • Background in procurement, contracts and subcontracts.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Experience working in teams.
  • Degree or Contracts certification (CIPS)
  • The qualified candidate will possess good business acumen and oral and written communication skills. They will be experienced in interpreting request for proposals, ITT's, RFS, RFC and RFQ's, developing contract positions and articulating the positions with supporting documentation to management.
  • Able to demonstrates computer competency and able to work within various procurement, contracts and financial systems to update, maintain or extract procurement and contract data.
  • Ability to develop strong positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Good sense of humor and ability to work in a team.
