Project Description

  • The project aims to build an Information Architecture for client's content and will include creating management processes for that content, metadata/taxonomies and related technology solutions.
  • This project manager will be fully responsible for scope, schedule, cost and quality of the project.
  • Must have Market Data/Financial Data Project related experience either in the commodities or the financial sector.
  • Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Defines project scope and secures stakeholder approval.
  • Responsible for completing and uploading required artifacts to project management information system
  • Manages all project management deliverables (overall project planning, control, execution and close).
  • Identifies and manages risks and issue throughout the project life cycle.
  • Monitors and controls and reports on costs, schedule and scope.
  • Manages issue resolution and escalation and change management processes.
  • Leads project team and manages team performance.
  • Manages stakeholder communication.
  • Assist in implementing customer engagement standards as needed
  • Assist in building internal training standards as needed

Knowledge and Experience

  • BS or BSC required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) required.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or other quality programs.
  • Experience working as part of a Project Management Office is a plus
  • Project Management Skills
  • Project Management Institute#s PMBOK Guide or equivalent.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Must be able to write charters, scope and other key documents and be proficient in schedule creation and tracking using MS-Project .
  • Proficiency in Version Control Software (CVS, Sharepoint etc.)
  • Must have experience managing projects successfully in a weak Matrix environment.
  • Strong detail orientation. Must be willing to do administrative duties like meeting minutes, tracking of issues, risks and decisions etc.
  • Must be a leader who can communicate effectively across functions to get work done.
  • Must be able to manage a virtual team with members in multiple locations.
