Senior Network Implementation Analyst - 6 months, Brussels
Key Skills:
Fantastic opportunity to work as a Senior Network Implementation Analyst for a leading IT service company based in Brussels. 6 Month contract with likely extensions to follow.
You will be heavily involved in the planning, development and operation of the Global IT network infrastructure. The scope of work will include the Wide and Local Area Networks, Remote Access, Firewall Management, IP Addressing and VPN. The role covers design, architecture, operations management and 3rd line support for the entire infrastructure. There will be significant contact with network service providers and hardware vendors.
Experience Required:
- CCNP qualified, CCIE would be a big advantage
- Cisco multilayer-switched environment utilising unicast and multicast services
- Excellent technical knowledge of network topologies, troubleshooting and design, TCP/IP, Multilayer Switching and Routing.
- Extensive experience of Firewall design, VPN and Network Address Translation
- Extensive experience of Wide Area Networking technologies, preferably MPLS
- Extensive practical experience in configuring products and building networks with current CISCO equipment and IOS in a WAN and LAN environment
Areas of Responsibility:
- Design, Review and implementation of projects globally
- Maintain contact with vendors to maintain current operation of WAN circuits
- Examine Router logs and counters to establish possible faults and problems not apparent to users on the network. Pro-actively monitor all networking systems.
- Pro-actively create and perform DR plans creating new or following existing procedures and documentation
- Router Software and Configuration - research software and/or firmware versions and recommend enhancements to the network
- Good experience in the use of VISIO to create, update and publish technical drawings
