Our reputable Telecommunications client is currently looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join there team on an initial 6 month contract.The primary role of the Senior Test Engineer is to develop test plan/strategies, implement and execute test automation and Scripting.
This is not a standard Telco project, this is a ground-breaking opportunity to create a model-driven code-generation system to transform the clients development. They need people with skills in frameworks, languages, UI aesthetics, human factors, and testing strategies.
Detailed skills: Java, XML-family, UML, Agile methodologies, although the over-riding requirements are intelligence and passion and the ability to work cooperatively
Essential Skills and Experience -
- Software engineering. Specific and detailed knowledge on the theory and practice of software engineering.
- Experience in software test, test methodologies, metrics.
- Documentation and analysis of test metrics and reporting.
- Experience in test automation and Scripting.
- Experience in testing tools (eg mercury suite, LoadRunner)
- Experienced in modelling language (eg UML, XMI)
- Knowledge in database (example Oracle, MySQL, Postgress
- Knowledge in Software languages (eg J2EE/Java, C++, Python)
- Knowledge in system configuration and deployment.
- Knowledge in Application Server (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat etc)
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline.
- Experience in Industry Standards & Best practices in Software Architecture & Design
- Internet protocols and services - Advanced understanding
