Manning Global Group are currently looking for a number of Wireless Site Engineers for contract positions in the Telecommunication area, based in the UK (Bristol /Basingstoke).

The Wireless Site Technical Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality delivery to the customer by…

• Development and continuous improvement of site design and construction methods, standards and procedures
• Review of site surveys before equipment installation
• Working with subcontractors to ensure site implementation according to methods, standards, plans & H&S.
• Ensuring the accurate technical reporting of all milestones
• Solving site technical issues
• Review of site as-built/acceptance reports.
• Carrying out hardware and software quality assurance, against agreed standards
• Training and certifying internal and partner engineers on solution design tools, installation and commissioning methods, standards and procedures

• Delivering results – demonstrate a systematic and logical problem solving technique, in order to formulate and deliver to business SLA’s and recovery action plans.
• Putting customers first – has the ability to work flexibly in a high pressure environment as required to resolve faults and issues in order to restore network availability and therefore minimise impact on the customer.
• GSM/UMTS/WiMAX/LTE access network equipments data configuration
• Commissioning and integrate BTS/NodeB/BSC/RNC/e NodeB on site
• Solving wireless technical issues, working with radio planning engineers, R&D engineers as needed
• GSM/UMTS/WiMAX/LTE access network equipments daily maintenance
• Familiarity with IP Networking concepts, networks, subnets, gateways

Desirable Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications/electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
• Relevant Nokia/Ericsson/Nortel/ALU element (Flexi, Ultrasite, Metrosite, RBS series, etc.) training and experience
• Good understanding of 2G and 3G telecom networks i.e. elements, protocols, services, configuration etc.
• Communicating for impact – communicates effectively at all levels. Able to translate complex technical issues into plain language for making and influencing reasoned decisions.
• Hands-on radio equipment rollout experiences in the UK in a supervisory/team lead capacity
• Hands-on radio equipment swap experience in the UK in a supervisory/team lead capacity.
• Knowledge of Turnkey service delivery
