My client, a East Midlands based retail bank, are looking to recruit an interim Head of SOX to work in its global cards business. This is a really high profile 12m contract which offers a very attractive, heavyweight role for the right SOX experienced applicant. The role holder will be expected to lead the overarching SOX delivery into the global business including compliance, external audits, reporting cycles and steering team delivery. This is a perfect role for any specialist looking to move away - or keep away - from direct resource management as this role has a team but there is no requirement for day to day management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep financial control experience.
- Ideally a background in SOX (although please do apply even if you have had only one or two roles with it).
- Great communications style - as the role will require stakeholder engagement to board level as well as senior finance stakeholders.
- Accountancy qualification.
- Practical experience of working with risk & control frameworks
- Understanding of the Financial Services industry and core banking services
- Detailed working knowledge of the regulatory environment including SOX.
