Our client is a hugely popular computer components brand seeking a Validation Engineer to work on Graphics Driver validation for Windows based OS (current and future versions). The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Graphics Driver Validation (emphasis on Media component) including (but not limited to) test development, execution and debugging of the issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graphics Driver Knowledge, especially in the Media side
  • Experience with Microsoft standard APIs Direct3D, DXVA
  • OS Knowledge (WIN7, Vista, XP)
  • System setup and tear downs (Mobile and Desktop)
  • Strong C/C++ code development skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong discipline in all activities

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); generating reports/charts/graphs
  • Solid working knowledge of modern PC architecture
  • Experience with debugging tools such as WinDbg, Visual Studio debugger, etc.
  • Experience in installing and configuring modern PC BIOS's and Windows operating systems (for example, Vista and Win7) with a variety of common peripherals (ie memory, PCI cards and USB devices, and multimedia software and/or hardware)
  • Experience with Microsoft SDK's, PC benchmarks, and diagnostic utilities
  • Experience with Microsoft WHQL certification testing of device drivers using WLK test
