The PMO Planner is a member of the team and is responsible for delivering planning support directly to the Project Managers, as well as delivering support directly to a several stakeholders (IT Managers, Project Managers, Project Team members etc.).
The PMO Planner reports to the Programme Manager,

Key Responsibilities include:
*Consulting with projects in setup stage to educate them on good planning practices and to ensure planning is approached in a structured fashion according to the client methodology in place.
*Creating, Updating and Maintain project schedules in line with methodology, standards and procedures
*Produce project progress and financial reports according to reporting schedule
*Preparation and analysis of Earned Value Key Performance Indicators used by management to assess progress and identify problem areas
*Producing executive level reports and presentations on project progress. Ensure that project plans are accurately reported, forecasted and incorporated into the over all Implement Dashboard Control.
*Administer the collection maintenance and reporting of team member time data including validating timewriting and where necessary working with Team members to ensure errors are corrected
*Analysis of data using Excel and producing executive level reports and presentations on time allocation and expenditure
*Work with Project Managers and Functional Leads as required, on project-related planning subjects and assist them in constructing their operational plans
*Support the Quality Assurance process by providing data for content-based assessments/reviews focused on plan stage gates, milestones and deliverables
*Contribute to general process improvement and quality of training and on-boarding materials
*Deployment of 'best practice' techniques and proven planning structures, to develop project plans and budget estimates for rollout projects and other related projects.
*Support of Tools and Processes for Projects as necessary.

Experience and Qualifications required
*Experience in planning large and complex projects using MSProject (including resource allocation, dependency management and critical path analysis)
*Experience in Project Management Office (PMO) activities (Issue and Risk management, change control, benefits management)
*Project Management Qualification preferred
*Advanced MSProject skills, 2000 minimum, 2003 (enterprise) preferred
*Experience of implementation of project management methodologies
*Experience in the development and implementation of a project controls frameworks, especially in a programme context
*Familiarity with the Earned Value concept for tracking project progress
*IT Project Management experience
*Experience in Microsoft Suite of products, especially Excel. Skill in VBA advantageous.
*Experience of Project or Business Unit Cost Planning and Reporting
*Experience of After Action and Value Assurance or Quality Assurance reviews would be advantageous
