Our international client is looking for an SAP Services Manager to start working on a 2 years contarct ASAP. This is based in Saudi Arabia and offers an excellent daily rate in a tax free zone. The requirements of the position is as shown below.

Areas of responsability

Planning/Budgeting

Responsible for resource capacity planning and coordinating all SAP application support, and project activities for the SAP environment. The SAP Manager works with the Technical Services Manager, and the Application Services Manager, on ensuring that all activities requiring SAP Application Management Support (AMS) teams (Basis, Archiving, Enterprise Portal, Process Integration, Business Intelligence, ABAP/ Workflow developers, and functional l consultants/analysts) involvement are planned and coordinated. Where required, the timing of the activities is adjusted to meet operational priorities and resource capacity constraints. The SAP Manager takes a lead ro le in establishing this timing and mediating the resolution of conflicts and coordinating resource allocation for SAP projects.

Participate in planning and status meetings with IT operational and project staff and report on progress, issues and status in general that affect the delivery of SAP services and support.

Manage SAP Support Services annual capital and operations budgets. Ensure timely implementation of capital purchases through effective project planning and management

Participates and undertakes various work related activities such as the preparation of service and support weekly and monthly reports, projects reports, Yearly objective status reports, and tender documents, and coordinate corporate systems support activities with IT.

Plans technical and functional landscape, roadmap in terms of solution design provides budget and infrastructure plans, creation of policies and procedures.

Provides significant input to the process of the development of Basis and NetWeaver standards, policies and procedures.

Prepares and controls annual budgets, incorporating anticipated costs for studies, hardware and software.

Plan and establish after gO,-live activities including ongoing support of application support teams.

Management/Administration

Ensure through documentation of infrastucture including landscape, systems, applications, backup/maintenance schedules, and contract expirations

Coordinate with IT organization for acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance of SAP required hardware and IT solutions to support SAP landscape design. Ensures that proper security (SAP Authorization) and Backup Recovery of data is carried out and verified. Oversee the process of SAP license administration as maintained by the authorization team lead .

Support the development of frameworks, best practices and methodologies to be followed across the SAP organization to enhance the consistency, quality and cost effective delivery of software.

Determine software licensing, and maintenance requirements. Work with Management and Legal toensure software compliance fixed assets retention policies

SAP Transport management review and approvals including review of scheduling production transports with the core team to avoid production interruptions.

Liaison and coordinator for SAP AG regarding access. and support for company's SAP applications and related data.

Enforce project management standards ensuring all SAP projects are standardized and communicated.

Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of technical and functional resources to support operations and projects work efforts that affect the SAP ERP landscape. Participate and prepares requirements for the company's short and long term's SAP Landscape strategy and objectives as they apply to SAP environment.

Ensures existence of sufficient controls to safeguard confidential company information.

Motivate, select, and develop members of the SAP technical and functional teams, provide input to evaluation and target goals for development and further knowledge transfer.

Manage and participate on planning and status meetings with SAP technical and functional leads and report on progress, issues and status in general.

Operation/Service Delivery

Daily management of SAP technical and functional managers regarding service delivery, support, and coordination of activities and tasks, resource allocation and follow up on service levels and KPls.

Ensure the integrity of application services according to company processes, agreed service levels and KPls.

Maintain good working relationships with the key business line users, functional leads, vendors, internal and external SAP/IT partners.

Manages and tracks timely delivery of system infrastructures and support activities.

Communicates the status of activities with the service managers, management and key end-users leads.

Identifying and monitoring interdependencies between various application implementation activities.

Prioritize work for the teams and keep team member focused on delivery of the right objectives.

Ensure existing SAP solutions and enhancements comply with all departmental and organization poliCies as well as best practice.

The right candidate  will also need to have the following CRITICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification in at least one SAP module or technical area (eg ., Basis, Solution Manager).

Should have a sound cross SAP technical knowledge and IT experience.

Availability during non-business hours to attend to production issues.

Must have previous team leadership experience in at least 5 years on large SAP project implementations.

Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SLM) desired.

Team player, proactive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and sustain effective relationships with customers, SI and IT organizations.

Good design and architectural skills in the technical area .

Good understanding of project management skills and thorough knowledge of the ASAP project life cycle.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and deliver on commitments.

Accomplished communication skills encompassing inter-personal communications and writing.

Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.

Proven record of high performance in problem solving, collaborating, planning/priority setting, timely decision making, perseverance, and a drive for results.

Possess a blend of SAP technical and services delivery management skills.
