Aston Carter are looking on behalf of a leading Global Investment Bank for a Settlements Business Analyst to sit within the Operations Change Management team.
Role Summary -
This is a contract Settlements project role, relating to the migration of the Settlements, Brokerage and Funding processes to new strategic infrastructure.
The candidate must be willing to look at granular data, understand how this data is used by the business, and confirm requirements to Technology. They must also be able to plan their analysis in a structured fashion and finished piece of analysis to specific deadlines.
Key deliverables include:
*The analysis of settlement events
*Identification of trends/commonality amongst the product set.
*Relating underlying data to actual business processes.
*Documenting data-based requirements and communicating these to the Technology team for development.
*Analysing data and messaging which supports funding and brokerage processes. Confirming that data used in the 'current state' is catered for/maps to data in the 'future state'.
*Working with the business users to translate requirements into test cases.
The candidate must be flexible with hours and travel requirements (travel to Asia and India may be required).
This role will be a key interface between Operations and IT.

*Project Planning - How long the analysis is expected to take, what are the risks, issues, assumptions or dependencies involved in that planning
Gathering requirements:
*Conducting Gap Analysis or Impact Analysis
*Owning the Business Solution
*Business process design/redesign
*Business procedure setup/change
Delivery -
*Ensure there is consistency between the solution & the proposed benefits
*Ownership of the business solution and any changes to it
*Defining test cases in collaboration with the business based on gathered requirements
*Issue management and resolution
*Potentially assist with training requirements delivery if/where data changes have arisen.
*Managing operational implementation activities affected by data changes and ensuring they are institutionalised in day to day work practices
Useful -
*Appropriate data mining skill set, eg SQL, MS Access, MS Excel.
*Previous evidence of data investigation through the project life cycle.
