Description
We require a Informatica Developer for a 6-12 month contract based in Galway.Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Designing high quality and robust data access layers, which includes the design specification of the Stored Procedures and/or Web Services detailed within Systems Design Specifications (SDS) and Technical System Specification (TSD) phases.
- Standards based development methodology.
- Participate in systems design sessions and contribute to Technical System Specifications (TSD) documents for the database components.
- Assist Lead Database Developers Physical Database Designs.
- Provide coding and environment support for Database Development team.
- The position requires an individual who can work independently and multi-task across several projects. This person must be able to work with a variety of database resources of varying levels, in supporting their efforts. The individual should possess good database and application design skills and also be aware of good application/database support practices.
- Good development and documentation skills are required as the individual will work with a broad team of resources, and will need to communicate the designs and solutions effectively.
Skills and Knowledge:
- BS or MS degree in an IT related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in IT.
- Documentation and Diagramming skills, especially in the areas of writing Technical System Design documents (TSD).
- Oracle PL/SQL - 11g experience.
- Design of data access layers using Informatica tool.
- Unix/Linux Scripting.
- Physical Data Modeling.
- XML/Web Services design experience.
- Informatica tools like Power Center, Power Exchange, B2B DT/DX and Data Quality (IDQ)
- Java Scripting and processing data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required, strong team player with agile experience are expected.
