We are currently looking for a Category Manager to join a large Financial Services Client based in Norwich.
Job Title: Category Manager
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months+
Location: Norwich
Rate: Daily Contract Rate
Role:
Maximising value through the end-to-end commercial management of key suppliers and associated third party spend, focusing on driving performance and commercial benefit from the supply chain
To apply appropriate commercial, SRM & category management skills, tools and techniques in order to:
* drive value for money through the identification of and delivery of opportunity
* drive performance by optimising the supply chain
* mitigate and manage supply chain risk by developing and deploying appropriate category strategies
* actively manage suppliers within sub-category in order to assure achievement of contracted levels of performance and benefit delivery

- Relationship Management

- Strong stakeholder management and proven track record of building strong internal business
- Relevant experience in a procurement/supply chain/commercial environment.
- Leading simple sourcing processes
- Involvement in complex sourcing processes
- Developing and negotiating supplier agreements
- Involvement in managing strategic and/or business critical supplier relationships
