Our Durham, NC Health Care Leader has an immediate 6+ month contract requirement for a Senior Web UI Visual Designer to join their expanding Agile Web Office, satisfying existing and new customers with their new projects. There is a high possibility that your contract will be extended. You may also be offered a FTE role, if their budget permits. Bottom-line...they like to keep good people on their team!
In this position you will create and manage interactive design elements, page-level layout, task fulfillment and consistent visual treatment of web sites, email campaigns and web applications.
You will take the user/customer "concepts" created by the UX designers, and:
* Create visual comps of Web pages, digital marketing campaigns and mobile web pages
* Select and size appropriate imagery
* Maintain design standards for color palette, imagery, fonts, design patterns, etc.
* Design interaction elements like buttons, navigation, tabs, etc.
* You will be the connection point to the developers who take the comps and turn them into published web pages. So, it's essential that you have some understanding of development so that can be an efficient conversation. However, you do not do the actual development work yourself.
Minimum Required Skills:
* Bachelor's degree
* 4+ years experience designing Web based interfaces and applications
* Proficient in HTML & Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
* Experience with the following digital design software product: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
