SCP Analyst - Dutch, French and English - UML - GUI
SCP develops applications our client's group web sites, taking responsibility of the telco public sites, e-Services, e-Shop, the entertainment and media portal, entertainment applications, mobile applications, the Intranet, the corporate communication site and the content management systems.
SCP maximizes the satisfaction of its customers by applying Agile continuous improvement to its efficiency and flexibility.
The SCP Analyst analyses, specifies and estimates the project intake requests for SCP in close collaboration with the experts from the business, ESE, other SDV domains and from SIO. S/He also draft architectural evolutions aligned with the enterprise architecture.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform the intake of new business requests related to the SCP web site applications
Analyse, understand and document the business requirements interacting with the business requesters
Interact with experts regarding the translation of business requirements into technical IT solution specifications
Specify and document the functional architecture of the solution and its impact on the ESE applications, ensuring consistency with the relevant enterprise architecture roadmap and the existing architecture
Consider the relevant level of non-functional requirements with the business and the support experts to ensure the required robustness, quality, and maintainability
Estimate the high level development cost and timing of this solution with focus on predictability.
Participate in sorting, sizing and prioritizing the development efforts. Challenge the requirements regarding their cost/benefit ratio and priority
Recommend phasing the implementation according to the business priorities in order to address manageable scope chunks, to match staffing possibilities and to consider functional and technical dependencies
Initiate and facilitate power workshops with our business customers to elaborate quality requirements swiftly with an early project team
Anticipate as much as possible on the business needs
Document business processes
Produce functional system specifications
Design and document technical solution strategies and architectures fulfilling complex business requirements
Provide input regarding the evolution of software applications and technological platforms, and contribute to the definition of appropriate IT strategies and roadmaps
Participate in the definition of possible improvements for existing applications or solutions
Keep his work aligned with the enterprise and project architects
Assist the development team in understanding the specifications and the solution
Follow-up the projects actuals, analyse them and understand their variances compared to the estimates in order to continuously improve the estimation accuracy
Follow-up projects architectural evolution and issues in order to fine-tune the architectural solutions
Experience, expertise and skills
Degree in economics, comfortable with IT and technical realizations, or IT graduate with business acumen
At least 5 years of experience with business requirements modelling, functional analysis and architecture
Knowledge of IT, web technologies (portal experience is an asset) and of GUI design
Interviewing and facilitation skills
Analytical and synthesizing skills
Ability to correctly estimate the cost and planning of IT solutions
Ability to detect project conflicts, advise on possible options and discuss solutions with involved parties
Communication skills to elaborate on the project with the business and the project team and to generate management reporting
Profound knowledge of UML
Knowledge of Business Process Analysis methodologies
Working knowledge of Agile development and project management methodologies
Knowledge and user experience with Enterprise Architect, Microsoft SharePoint, Visio, Project, Office
Customer-, result- and improvement-oriented team player
Ability to work independently, proactively and in a structured way following the priorities and timing of the project governance
