Description
Our client is a hugely popular computer components manufacturer seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for solid state drives (SSD) in a Embedded Real Time operating system (RTOS).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years in Embedded systems development experience
- Strong architecture and C/C++ programming skills
- Experience with ARM or equivalent processors
- Demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of multitask, event driven Real Time firmware/software using C (or C++)
- Demonstrated understanding of RTOS concepts including task switching, deadlocks, and resource management issues
- Demonstrated experience of storage interface standards such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, and Fiber Channel
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Demonstrated experience optimizing firmware/software to meet performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions
- Demonstrate experience in system-level debugging skills
