Description

The purpose of this position is to manage and lead the design, build and commissioning of Air Separation Process Plant to worldwide customers, with projects ranging in value from $5Million to $20Million.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience and success in the following areas:

  • Education - A good engineering degree or equivalent is required
  • A sound engineering background which can be used as a basis to build specific knowledge in the industrial gases market.
  • Leadership skills and a proactive approach to getting things done
  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a Project Engineering or Project Management position, and a sound understanding of Project Management as a discipline, including at least 5 of the following items:
  • Single Point of Contact communication with Senior individuals within customer organizations
  • Interfacing with internal Business and Operational Groups, as well as other support groups such as Shipping, Procurement, Project Accounting, Inspection and Expediting.
  • Leading a multifunctional design team or organization (Process, C&I, Vessels, Machinery, Structures, etc.) to meet project deliverables within budget and on schedule
  • Procurement of major equipment and in line items
  • Project Scheduling and Cost Control
  • Use of and familiarity with process and safety tools such as P&ID's and HAZOPs.
  • Ownership of Project Scope Report, Project Execution Strategy, Risk Management Plan's.
  • Change Management
  • Contracting and management of outsourced detailed design and procurement scope.
  • Execution in conjunction with EPC or client consortium and partnering arrangements
  • Project Management of turnkey construction scope including installation of equipment and packages, interconnecting pipework and instrument/electrical cable, infrastructure/utilities scope, tie ins, pipeline networks.
  • Experience of managing lump sum and remeasured construction work.
  • Process Plant experience would be an advantage
