Our reputable client is currently in need of an experienced System Management Specialist to join their team on an initial 12 month contract.As the successful candidate you will be primarily responsible for Systems Management/Infrastructure software tools supporting various ITIL Key Processes and functions in Event Management, Information Security Management, Service Asset and Configuration Management, and Release and Deployment.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Maintain detailed knowledge and currency of Tivol/BMC Systems management product set functionality.
- Maintain detailed knowledge and currency of other Systems Management products and toolsets as supported and used by the team.
- Learn concepts in detailed design of systems management solutions from architectural and solution leads as required.
- Learn new system management products and toolsets as required
- Assist senior technical leads in research and development of new solutions as required.
- Provide Systems Management expertise to project teams
- Demonstrate capability (with assistance) to clients.
- Development and maintenance of systems management processes and procedures, which may require Scripting and coding skills.
- Escalate product problems via official product support line
- Comply with security, audit and systems integrity posture
- Highlight areas for improvement in current processes, and implement improvements
- Build, nurture and leverage relationships across organisation to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations.
- Liaise with subject matter experts to ensure we are developing appropriate solutions for the client(s).
