The Marketing Research Consultant will support consumer and product research, customer attitude and behavioral studies, and analyze the results.

Description
Supports improvements based on the research findings for company's electric distribution companies. Develops, operates and uses segmentation models, a customer Datawarehouse and a customer relationship management system from the business perspective. Assists, as needed, in the development and implementation of new products and services for customers of electric distribution companies in coordination with the management of each operating company to include channel marketing activities where appropriate. Provides input to the electric distribution companies for the development of marketing strategies, plans and programs. Interfaces with company department to identify economic trends and establish long-range plans and goals for the purpose of capital investments and growth opportunities.

PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Supports appropriate market research, both quantitative and qualitative, to accurately measure all customer segment attitudes towards company's electric distribution companies and their operations. Benchmarks the results against other electric distribution companies.
2. Supports appropriate market research, both quantitative and qualitative, to determine customer interest in new products or services and that will assist in predicting success, determine price, promotion and product or service attributes.
3. Supports recommendations for each electric distribution company, based on research findings, to improve their operations, customer satisfaction or the launch of a new product or service.
4. Development presentations of market research results and recommendations to distribution company management.
5. Helps determine the need for and recommends outside consultants to perform market research studies and analysis and monitors and reviews their performance including selection and validation of customer survey samples to ensure statistically accurate results.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, economics, statistics. Three to five years of business-related experience in customer and market research, market planning, Demonstrated abilities to develop and propose quantitative and qualitative market research and analyses. Leadership Skills: Demonstrates competency and proficiency in oral and written communications; is customer driven; displays initiative; accepts responsibility; participates in and facilitates team effectiveness; thinks and acts analytically; makes sound decisions to support the mission; applies knowledge and skills to solve problems and respond promptly, appropriately and constructively in work situations.
