JOB TITLE/Reference #: #086 Enterprise Architect (Information Architect)

Duration of Assignment: 6 month contract plus a possible 6 month extension

Client: Public Sector

Estimated start date: June 11, 2012

Location: GTA

Position: Contract

Our client requires the services of an Enterprise Architect (Information Architect), to provide deliverables including, but not limited to, the following:

Identifying and describing key Authoritative Data Sources for the organization

Further developing the existing corporate conceptual data model

Development of conceptual and logical entity-relationship and dimensional data models for Client's projects & initiatives.

Development of data dictionaries to accompany the data models;

Contribute to the development of information reference architectures, data model patterns and data standards

Presentation of Data Models to ACT (Arch. Core Team) and (EARC Enterprise Architecture Review Committee)

Update Data Model's as per feedback from governance bodies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University/Community College degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or equivalent a definite asset.
  • Minimum five yearsdeveloping complex logical entity-relationship data models.
  • Extensive experience with information and data reference architectures, data model patterns and data standards
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws including MFIPPA
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Master Data Management and authoritative source identification and definition experience

    • Technical Capabilities:
    1. Demonstrated expertise in the field of Datamodelling and data architecture.

    Excellent skills and experience with Erwin Data Modeler (version 7 preferable), Visio and Microsoft Office; SQL Spy or similar experience would be an asset
