As a talented web developer, you will work closely with software engineers and product developers to design and build best-of-breed web and mobile interfaces. You are a creative thinker who has an appreciation for visual design and user experience however you must be an expert Front End semantic web developer, with strong hand-coded HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills along with knowledge in modern web standards techniques, cross browser development, client and server performance optimization techniques, accessibility and search engine optimization.
Responsibilities:Develop detailed mockups and HTML based working prototypes to communicate and test design ideas
Develop online user interfaces for client's website and mobile products
Evangelise web design best practice within the organisation
Required Experience:
Expert in Web Development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX)
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering cutting edge online products for large scale websites.
Experience in developing web applications with rich client interfaces using AJAX, drag and drop, and other DOM Scripting techniques.
Experience of Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC).
Strong understanding of browser standards and compatibility best practice.
Expert JavaScript skills including frameworks such a JQuery for rapid prototyping.
An eye for simplicity and a focus on the customer.
Experience with .NET and Microsoft technologies.
Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
Minimum 2-5 years industry experience.
Desirable Experience:
Knowledge of financial markets
Strong academic background with university degree in computer science or design related field
