A large retail bank seeks experienced Business Analysts to join a major Finance Transformation initiative. The role requires a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA,CPA). It will be focused on all the finance systems and applications which are not supported by group IT (EUC applications) which are mainly comprised of end user spreadsheets/Excel and Access based systems. This is a very complex finance systems architecture which incorporates Excel, Access and a myriad of other tools that have been developed by finance for user specific requirements over a period of many years (for instance to act as tools for reconciliations, reports, financial controls, trial balance, and product reporting).
Working with a broad range of finance community stakeholders, this role involves requirements gathering (as-is capture across process & systems), workshop direction, translation of business requirements in to functional specs, the validation of functional build to original requirements spec, input into test scripts definition and to-be process design. The required candidates will have very strong experience working as a finance BA within financial services and ideally retail banking. You will demonstrate an ability to fit into a formal, large-scale, structured programme environment, and be well versed in producing programme documentation. Retail bank finance and business analysis experience (ie Finance in the context of a savings, loans, deposits, and mortgages environment) is essential for this high profile, challenging role.
