Global Security Architect
Harvey Nash is currently seeking a Global Security Architect to join a winning Architect team for a global media/advertising firm. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity with our client.

JOB OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architecting enterprise solutions, developing standards, and creating process for managing security focused products such as; vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS, DLP and log consolidation.
- Documenting all solutions, developing education, training and certification materials, ensuring that operations and solutions teams have the tools and knowledge to manage the day to day operations as they relate to network security.
- Review network security platforms and services for continually service improvement
- Participate and review all change management requests as they relate to network security.
- Assist in the development of IT security strategies and procedures, periodic self-inspections to detect information security issues, as well as the dissemination of Information Security Policies and best practices.
- Use network sniffers such as Ethereal to solve complex problems
- Conduct Firewall policy reviews and document best practices
- Support the operations team with any issues related security systems
- In addition to Checkpoint and Cisco technologies other product areas to solve security protections will be required
- Understand VLANS, ACLs, and other restrictive network components for design of internal network segments
- Provide guidance on how to achieve SOX compliance on the internal systems
POSITION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

POSITION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Education
- BS required in a technical discipline,
- Technical Certification Recognized Certification as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP, CISM or CISA).
- On the Job Experience Training or experience in key Information Security areas including Third Party Vendor Assessment, Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Threat management, Password Management, Risk Acceptance, Secure Workspace and platform specific vulnerability awareness
- Strong experience with security technologies and architecture, including encryption, network security (server and disk hardening), CheckPoint technologies, Cisco ASA, VPN technologies, vulnerability management (including testing, scanning, and patching), anti-virus and intrusion detection
- 5+ years' experience in a Technology/Security related function. 3+ years directly working as a security lead
- Business Control/Compliance experience highly preferred.

- Understands vendor offerings/capabilities, can apply vendor solutions to address business issues.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and present findings and potential solutions to various levels of management.
- Must understand detailed technical platforms and architectures
- Outstanding interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Linux skills are desired
- Ability to deal with complex organizational issues and make appropriate trade-offs as required.
- Knowledge of the various CISSP domains (Security Management Practices, Security Architecture and Models, Access Control Systems & Methodology, Application Development Security, Operations Security, Physical Security, Cryptography, Telecommunications, Network & Internet Security, Business Continuity Planning, Law, Investigations, & Ethics)
- Familiarity with all areas of ISO 27001 and experience with audits and/or Sarbanes-Oxley is desired
