IT Buyer

For one of our clients, a big player in the energy market, is looking for an IT buyer for a long term contract! The successful candidate will be working for a key player in the energy market and the interconnected electricity system.

Job description

As senior buyer you are responsible for a group of product categories with an annual spend of +/- 40 M Euros in the context of IT and telecom purchases. You form the link between the internal customer and the suppliers on the other hand. You help the company achieve better results by improving the efficiency of procurement processes and increase the "Total Cost of Ownership" optimization, taking into account the needs of internal customers.

Within this framework, you are responsible for:

• Developing a trusting relationship with internal customers by providing added value to the purchase of a needs assessment
• A contract to develop and implement management structure in order to create added value for internal customers
• The formulation and implementation of a structured and innovative procurement strategy in line with the existing procurement policy
• Conducting market studies, negotiating contracts and maintaining positive long term relationships with key suppliers
• Implementing the procurement contracts through an ERP system to a structured contract management possible

Job Requirements

• You have a master's degree and minimum 5 years commercial and/or buying experience.
• You have a good knowledge of IT
• You are bilingual (Dutch/French).
• You have empathy and maturity to be able to build trust with customers, suppliers and team members.
• You enjoy working autonomously in a pioneering and you have a good team spirit
• You can be assertive and structured communication.
• You have a good analytical mind where you can come to a result quickly.
• You have the necessary negotiating skills.
