QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- 3+ years of web development and Internet technology experience
- 3+ years of Object-Oriented analysis, design, and development experience
- Significant exposure to and demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of programming and analysis including design patterns, hardware and software requirements, systems requirements and deployment protocols
- Experience building use case driven software with Agile Software development and Test Driven development methodologies
- Desire to build world-class social web and monetization platform for kids and families
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work in multiple roles

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
- PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python Django, or web framework equivalent experience building web pages from database, business layer, and UI
- JavaScript/CSS/AJAX skills
- Full-time/hands-on experience developing web applications and sites
- Strong Internet technologies background including XML, web services, etc.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
- Experience with application Servers required
- Experience with relational databases required
- Experience with Behavior Driven development and related tools (such as JBehave, Selenium, etc.)
- Experience with Agile Scrum development methodology, with kanban/lean experience
- Experience with Apache Tomcat or NGINX strongly desired
- Ability to identify problems and opportunities, and champion solutions within the scope of own work ability to complete tasks on time and in budget within a climate of frequent market change and shifting needs and do so with minimal management oversight.
