SQL Server BI Developer w/Strong SSAS

ABOUT THE POSITION
SQL Server 2008 Developer needed with Analysis Services experience creating and modifying cubes (dimensions, facts, members, etc ). In depth knowledge of MDX query language and integration with Excel and SharePoint to present the data. In addition, this person has experience creating and working with complex database schemas and large volumes of data up to hundreds of millions of rows. This position will utilize Integration Services (SSIS) for data migration from Oracle and other SQL Server instances and Reporting Services (SSRS) for report and dashboard authoring. Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SSAS and dimensional modelling, work well with a .NET development team that leverages this data and create solutions that present data through SharePoint PerformancePoint Dashboards and KPI's, Excel Services and PowerPivot.
Must be a motivated, self starter who can work with customers and business partners to understand their needs and produce results. Strong communication and documentation skills are required. This job will encompass the entire Microsoft BI stack, including SSAS, SSIS and SSRS.
Typical deliverables include:
- Creation of estimates based on meetings with end users and customers
- Requirements spec from meeting with end users and customers
- Translation of requirements into (or update of) a design document
- Creation or modification of SQL Server database(s) and cube(s)
- Creation or modification of SQL Server Reports (SSRS) deployed to a report server
- Creation or modification of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
- Deployment and dependency documentation
- Provide "peer review" comments on other team members work
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Microsoft BI Suite
- SSAS - Cube Creation/Modification/MDX Query Language
- SSIS - Data Migration from Databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
- SSRS - Reporting/Dashboard Creation
- Microsoft Excel
MS SharePoint - PerformancePoint Development - Dashboards/Scorecard/KPI - Key Performance Indicator
