Senior Contract C++ Developer - FX eCommerce
£550 - £650 per day
Our client is a leading investment bank based in the London, due to continued success they are looking to appoint a Senior C++ developer on an interim basis.
The Role
The successful candidate will be in a team that is responsible for the development, support and release of systems to the FX business. The systems are global with major server hubs in London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore.
As part of the development team enhancing the FX Flow trade capture systems, the key aims of this project is to provide the flexibility to manage deal flows (hedging, decrossing, Back-to back ) and proper business events and status workflow (Block split, averaging, spot push, rolls, early termination ) as well as improving performance/capacity to cater for business volume increases. As the business is increasingly commoditised and volumes increase efficient processing to reduce cost is imperative.
The role will involve direct interaction with trading and sales desks as well as Middle Office.
The successful candidate would be able to help to enhance his teams' quality by performing code reviews, providing recommendations to improve the Legacy code and refactor inappropriate code.
Support will occasionally be required if a major problem in production arises.

- Experience with the creation of low-latency, near Real Time systems
- Strong development methodology (code review, source control, build )
- TDD and agile methodology
- Previous experience in financial services
