Financial System transformation Manager - Public Sector role
Our public sector client has recently embarked on a large scale shared service system integration project and is looking for a finance consultant to add to their business to help them fully prepare for the integration.
This interim position will provide you with an excellent opportunity to use your finance systems knowledge and skills. This role is working in one of the most high profile change programmes across the public sector and it will make a big difference to how the sector is run and how it progresses going forward. It really presents an excellent opportunity to work in a high profile environment that will push on your career.
The position offers £375 - £400 per day depending on experience.
The public sector body is looking for a candidate with the following experience:
-Senior level financial management experience
-Experience within the public sector
-Strategic awareness and the ability to work effectively implementing change whilst thinking of the bigger picture.
-Strong team player experience
-Strong IT skills for development of reports and financial baselines
-Professional accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA or CIMA)
The role requires you to:
-Report directly to the Programme Manager
-Ensure that all the financial data and information is collated in line with the reform activities that are currently taking place
-Develop arrangements for the safe storage and effective analysis of the data
-Undertake financial modelling for a range of change proposals
-Support the finance lead in developing a new finance system.
-Develop the on-going strategy of the programme of change
Overall this is an exciting and nationwide project that will make a real difference to the efficiency of this public sector body. It will definitely be an interesting project to work in, and one that could potentially lead to a 16 month contract.
