Our Client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager- WIN 7 Program - Operational Readiness
The Project Manager Infrastructure will be responsible for the Operational Readiness project within the Windows 7 Migration Program BE. S/He will drive this project end-to-end, from Initiation through Execution to Closing phases, and be the representative for this project in the Program team meetings.
The Operational Readiness is responsible for preparing the our clients IT organization (IMAC, helpdesk, incident, change, user mgmt, deskside support etc) for a massive rollout and post-rollout support on the new Windows 7 desktop. The project will prove this readiness by means of proof-of-concept and pilot rollouts.
Job Description
Within this setting, your tasks are as follows:
Leading the project team. Coaches, inspires and provides input and feedback. Is responsible for the resource planning.
Translates the high level requirements of the project into clear scope, approach, deliverables, milestones, risks, resource requirements and detailed planning.
Is responsible for the correct execution of the project, from a cost, schedule and quality perspective. Follows the internal Project Office practices meticulously.
Analyses and reports on all risks, issues and change requests. Escalates in a timely manner. Recommends mitigations and alternative solutions. Defines impact of identified changes, follows the Change process guidelines, and updates the project plan accordingly.
Plans, performs and manages quality assurance for the project. Ensures business partner acceptance and sign-off for the deliverables.
Identifies required changes to existing operational processes, recommends ways to implement them, and follows up their implementation.
Defines follow-up action recommendations for the project at closing stage.
Must Have
Has minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience in similar large company/enterprise scale Windows infrastructure projects. Large Windows desktop migrations experience is a plus.
Has professional knowledge of, and experience with Microsoft related market segment/industry/technology/discipline trends.
Has professional knowledge of, and experience with Project Management methodologies such as Prince II
Change management capabilities; coaching and training skills.
Experience with tooling like Microsoft Project and/or Clarity is a plus.
